Web Robots (the "Other" category) explained

Taveo categorizes clicks on links into 3 categories:
This category includes users visiting your site from a general purpose computer, such as a desktop, laptop or similar.
This category is for people visiting your site while using a cell phone, tablet and other similar devices.
This category is for website visitors that Taveo believes are not human, but some type of web crawler or automated script. Examples include Google Bot and similar automated technologies. It's important to note that these are not always bad or unwanted clicks, they just are not actual people who are interested in your product, service, etc. For Example, Google uses its Bot to index pages and include them into search results.
If you are using Taveo to track some type of advertisement, it is very important to watch this category. It is normal for your Ads to receive a few "clicks" from a web crawler. If you are seeing a lot of these, especially after your campaign has been live for a while, it could indicate a problem (misconfiguration, fraud, etc). If this is occurring, it would be a good idea to talk to your Ad provider and ask them to explain what is going on.
Taveo splits things into these categories because the Desktop and Mobile categories are for various types of real actual human traffic, while the "Other" category is non-human traffic. It it very useful to when real humans are clicking on your links vs. web crawlers and automated scripts. Web Crawlers don't buy things, humans do!
